SOFIA (Bulgaria), June 15 (SeeNews) - Five Bulgarian companies have been included in London Stock Exchange Group's (LSEG) "1000 Companies to Inspire Europe" report, which identifies the fastest-growing and most dynamic small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the UK and Europe, the bourse said on Wednesday.
Bulgarian representatives in the report are construction company Kristalna Voda, machine builder Milco, LED lights manufacturer V-TAC, agriculture trading company Agroreserve group, and carbon trading company Saga Commodities, LSEG said in its 1000 Companies to Inspire Europe report.
"The inclusion of five Bulgarian companies in the prestigious London Stock Exchange list is a remarkable recognition of Bulgaria´s business potential. Innovative ideas and highly skilled labour force are at the core of the economic growth, which could be further boosted by effective use of diverse investment financial tools. SMEs are an indispensable part of Europe's success and we shall provide a facilitating environment and access to capital for them to thrive," Eva Paunova, a Bulgarian member of the European parliament said.
According to the report, 80% of the selected Bulgarian companies more than doubled their revenues in 2015. Average annual revenue reached 62.6 million euro ($70.3 million) and the average annual job growth hit 158%.
